Jo Nicol - Digital Skills Team Lead (Wellington)

Jo leads the Cyclone Digital Skills team. She is a MoE Accredited PLD Facilitator, New Zealand registered teacher and has a postgraduate  qualification in digital and collaborative learning.

Jo is a passionate future-focused facilitator and helps educators create and develop student-centred learning environments with strengths in using Google Workspace for Education, Microsoft 365 and Design Thinking. By providing hands-on digital skills training, Jo ensures that individuals within the commercial and government sectors are equipped with the necessary knowledge and expertise to thrive in a rapidly evolving digital landscape.

The Cyclone Digital Skills team plays a vital role in preparing people for the future, enabling them to embrace technology and navigate its complexities with confidence.

Danny Bedingfield (Wellington)

Danny is a trained teacher with over 15 years of facilitating in schools and commercial organisations. He is a Microsoft Certified Trainer, and he is equally comfortable working in the Apple and Google environments. He has a proven track record of designing solutions for clients that will empower users to make the most of technology in their lives. 

Danny has a passion for the use of tech in creating inclusive learning for all people. He has designed workshops that have been promoted by the Dyslexia Foundation of New Zealand and were well received across the country. Danny’s other passion lies in music and videography.

He films and creates movies, often flying drones to get aerial footage that he utilises his Adobe skills to edit and present. Danny has a good sense of humour and believes that learning should be fun, meaningful and hands on.

Anthony Breese (Dunedin)

Anthony is a MoE-Accredited PLD facilitators and has been a registered NZ teacher for the past 19 years in the Primary and Intermediate sector. Anthony is passionate about using technologies, student agency in the classroom and enjoys passing on his ideas to passionate teachers. 

He has skills in Innovative Learning Environments, strategic planning and developing digital learning programme to support students and teachers to enhance learning opportunities. Anthony has strong knowledge using Apple, Google Suite, and Microsoft Education, using Learning Management systems and using studio recording digital music.

Nathan Scott (Christchurch)

Nathan is a passionate, future-focused educator who strives to make a difference for teachers and learners in all aspects of their learning journey

Nathan has been a registered NZ teacher for the past 15 years in the secondary sector teaching Mathematics, Computer science, and Robotics. Nathan strongly believes that it is best for a learner (at any age) to actively engage with hands-on experiences in learning spaces that are safe for them to experiment and explore; to try, to succeed and to fail.

Thane William (Auckland)

Thane is a member of Cyclone's Digital Skills team, bringing over 10 years of teaching experience as a registered teacher in New Zealand. With accreditation as an MoE PLD Facilitator and a bachelor's degree in Health and Physical Education, Thane offers valuable expertise to the team.​​​​​​​Driven by a genuine passion for facilitating transformative learning experiences, Thane excels in equipping educators with the necessary skills to create dynamic and future-focused learning environments. They possess a high level of proficiency in various technologies, including Microsoft 365, Google Workspace for Education, Design Thinking, eLearning, eSports and strategic planning. Thane's diverse skill set enables them to empower educators to adopt cross-curricular and student-centred approaches, fostering an inclusive and engaging learning environment.
